Hyatt is shaking things up by adding Bunkhouse Hotels to its World of Hyatt loyalty program. This change allows members to earn and use points at these unique hotels across Texas and Mexico.
What makes Bunkhouse special? These hotels stand out with locally inspired designs, music-driven experiences, and events that focus on community. Amar Lalvani, Hyatt’s President & Creative Director, shares excitement: “Bunkhouse Hotels are beloved in the communities they serve.”
This integration not only brings new benefits to members—like earning points and enjoying elite-tier credits—but also enhances Hyatt’s presence in popular vacation spots. Participating hotels include:
- Hotel Saint Augustine in Houston
- Hotel Saint Cecilia, Hotel San José, Austin Motel, and Carpenter Hotel in Austin
- Hotel San Cristóbal in Todos Santos, Mexico
- Hotel San Fernando in Mexico City
Several more hotels, like Hotel Magdalena in Austin and Hotel Daphne in Houston, will join soon.
To celebrate this partnership, Hyatt is launching unique experiences called FIND Experiences. These package deals feature exclusive stays that highlight what Bunkhouse Hotels are all about. Some of the offerings include:
- Lone Star Luxury at Hotel Saint Augustine: Enjoy a three-night stay with private art tours and dining.
- Vinyl & BBQ in Austin: A four-night stay featuring music and Michelin-starred barbecue.
- Hotel San Fernando Takeover in Mexico City: A full-property buyout for 24 guests, complete with rooftop experiences.
- Baja Wellness Escape at Hotel San Cristóbal: A beachfront retreat focusing on relaxation and wellness.
Hyatt’s Senior VP of Global Marketing, Laurie Blair, emphasizes that these experiences will enrich member engagement through cultural connections.
The move to include Bunkhouse Hotels aligns with Hyatt’s focus on lifestyle and boutique brands, catering to younger travelers seeking unique experiences. Since Bunkhouse is gaining traction, recently opening the praised Hotel Saint Augustine in Houston, interest in the brand is likely to grow.
In a market where travelers increasingly seek personal and memorable stays, Hyatt’s strategy to weave in Bunkhouse Hotels seems to be a step in the right direction.
