The Khajuraho-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express has added a new stop at Datia station, starting today. This change highlights Indian Railways’ goal to make modern train travel accessible to more people. Currently, there are 136 Vande Bharat trains running, connecting over 280 cities.
This addition allows for more options in travel for those in and around Datia. The decision was made largely because of increasing passenger demand for better travel choices.
For the Khajuraho to Nizamuddin route (train number 22469), the train will stop at Gwalior from 19:28 to 19:33 and at Datia from 18:42 to 18:44. On its return trip (train number 22470), it will halt at Datia between 09:59 and 10:01. Minor schedule changes will also apply to the Agra Cantt – Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi Express.
The Vande Bharat Express has become popular quickly. It offers features like automatic doors, onboard Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating. The trains can reach speeds of up to 183 km/h, but typically run at 160 km/h. They also save about 30% on electrical energy thanks to a regenerative braking system.
This new stop in Datia is part of a broader effort to enhance India’s railway network, which now stretches across over 50 routes. By linking urban areas and smaller towns, this expansion not only improves travel but also supports economic growth and community connection.
As rail service expands, further stops might be added based on the success of the Datia halt. Public feedback will play a crucial role in deciding future developments.
In recent discussions on social media, users have expressed excitement about the added convenience and speed provided by the Vande Bharat services. Comments highlight how these trains improve travel for both business and leisure.
Overall, the added stop at Datia signals a commitment to integrating more regions into India’s modern rail network, enhancing connectivity and travel experiences for all.
