Discover the Exciting Features of Minecraft 26.1 Snapshot 10: What You Need to Know!

It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another snapshot! This week’s update adds interesting new features for your golden dandelions. These will help you determine if your mobs are staying young or if aging is about to kick in. We’ve also made the baby zombie mob heads smaller and squashed a few pesky bugs.

Let’s dive into the changes!

  • Fixed a pixel gap in the Snifflet texture.
  • Baby Striders now have their bristles animated properly.
  • Striders inherit warmth correctly when standing on another Strider, just like in Bedrock.
  • Updated the head size for several baby mob models.
  • The golden dandelion now shows different particles based on aging status:
    • Green particles drift downward when aging is stopped.
    • Green particles rise when aging resumes.
  • Small Armor Stand now displays adult armor in a scaled-down version accurately.

User Interface Enhancements

  • IME input will cancel if no screens are open.
  • IME opens when focusing on a text input and closes when losing focus.
  • A new debug entry sound_cache has been added.

Technical Details

  • Data Pack version is now 99.3.
  • Resource Pack version is updated to 82.

Particle Updates

  • Added pause_mob_growth particles for baby mobs whose aging is halted.
  • Added reset_mob_growth particles for baby mobs when aging is restarted.

Resource Pack Adjustments

  • New textures for baby zombies and husks with smaller heads.

Bugs Squashed in Version 26.1 Snapshot 10

  • MC-91132 – Fixed cross-platform IME support.
  • MC-222949 – Tridents can now be enchanted with Riptide while riding.
  • MC-305369 – Ghost leash knot issue when attaching leashes fixed.
  • MC-305494 – Fix for rabbit damage when jumping into blocks.
  • MC-306376 – Armor now displays correctly on small armor stands.
