Forest Grove has a fresh new spot for food and drinks. Pelagic Brewing has teamed up with Comida KIN to transform the old Ridgewalker Brewing location into Forage Grove, a lively food hall and taproom.
Forage Grove will feature a mix of local flavors under one roof. Pelagic Brewing will keep brewing its craft beers, while Comida KIN will manage the food offerings. This partnership aims to create a welcoming community hub where everyone can enjoy great food and drinks.
Chef Rodrigo Huerta of Comida KIN shared, “We want to make Forage Grove a place for people to come together, discover local treasures, and feel right at home.” This is more than just a food hall; it’s about building connections in the community.
To kick things off, three vendors will be at the launch: Bull Run Cider, FG Amore, serving Italian street food, and Franko’s Hot Dogs. The plan is to expand with more vendors in the future, bringing even more flavor diversity to the area.
Josh Weber, owner of Pelagic Brewing, emphasized the special spirit of collaboration in the region. “Each partner adds something unique to this venture, showcasing the creativity and quality of our local community,” he said.
The opening celebration is set for Saturday, March 7, from noon to 9 p.m. It features a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Visitors can enjoy live music and tastings from all the vendors, including a raw bar from Oregon Fish Company and wine from Scotch Church Wines.
Interestingly, a recent survey found that food halls are becoming increasingly popular across the U.S., particularly among younger consumers looking for variety and social dining experiences. According to a report by the International Council of Shopping Centers, food halls can increase foot traffic by 30% in retail centers.
For those curious about the local food scene, social media buzz is already growing. People are sharing their excitement on platforms like Instagram, showcasing mouthwatering dishes and drinks from the new food hall.
