Commas Food Hall is making waves in Downtown Silver Spring! This new food venue, at Ellsworth Place, spans 13,000 square feet and is now in its initial “super soft” opening phase. It’s already welcoming visitors with three food stalls and a lively bar. You can find it at 8661 Colesville Rd.
Right now, you can savor dishes from J&J Mex Taqueria, Tato’s, and Momo’s Hub, along with tasty drinks at the C3 bar that offers local beers, wines, and cocktails. Though the official hours aren’t set yet, locals are encouraged to stop by and see what’s cooking!
Our friend Mr. MoCo shared a quick video of his visit, highlighting the current dining options. Exciting news is on the horizon! More stalls will join in soon, including Claude Have Mercy, Tokoa Cheesesteaks, MV Asian Kitchen, and others that are yet to be announced.
Food halls are trending these days, and for good reason. They serve up a variety of cuisines under one roof. According to a recent survey by the National Restaurant Association, nearly 65% of consumers enjoy the flexibility and choice a food hall provides. This shift reflects changing dining habits, especially post-pandemic, as people seek diverse experiences without the commitment of a full meal at one restaurant.
As the food scene continues to evolve in Silver Spring, the community’s response has been positive. Locals are excited to have new dining options and to support small businesses. It’s a great way to explore tastes from around the world all in one place. Keep an eye out for updates on additional stalls opening soon!
