MANSFIELD, Mass. – On Thursday, the Northeast-10 Conference unveiled its Academic All-Conference teams for the fall 2024 season. A total of 99 student-athletes from seven different sports were honored for their outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
To qualify for these Academic All-Conference teams, student-athletes must meet certain criteria:
- They must have started in at least half or played in two-thirds of their team’s games as key contributors.
- They need to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale.
Each of the 11 NE10 institutions had at least one student-athlete selected for this recognition. To see the complete list of honored athletes, CLICK HERE.
Adelphi led the pack with 15 selections, closely followed by Bentley with 13. Five schools had ten or more honorees, including New Haven and Southern Connecticut, each with 11, and Southern New Hampshire with 10.
In terms of individual sports, field hockey and women’s soccer stood out, each boasting 22 honored players. Volleyball had 12 selections, and football, men’s cross country, and men’s soccer had 11 each. Women’s cross country had 10.
Among the 99 recognized student-athletes, 42 were honored for the second time, while 12 received this recognition for the third time. Notably, three All-Americans—Krista Dietz from Pace (field hockey), Annemartine Christis from Southern New Hampshire (field hockey), and Preston Neal from Southern New Hampshire (men’s soccer)—earned this distinction.
This year’s Academic All-Conference teams included nine Player of the Year winners. Notable names include Christis, the NE10 Field Hockey Player of the Year, and Neal, the NE10 Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year. Other standout players include Kambel Fiser from Adelphi (NE10 Volleyball Setter of the Year), Victoria Mendez from American International (NE10 Volleyball Player of the Year), and Owen Gagne from Southern Connecticut (NE10 Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year).

The NE10 is made up of 11 diverse institutions offering student-athletes the chance to compete across 24 NCAA Division II sports. Every year, about 4,500 athletes participate in conference championships, making it the largest DII conference in terms of sponsored sports.
