When the Intuit Dome opened in Inglewood for the Los Angeles Clippers’ fans in fall 2024, the food options included a chicken Caesar salad that didn’t quite catch on. Unlike the popular spicy tuna sushi dog or the beloved Austrian pretzel, the salad sold fewer than 25 times per game.
Now, entering its second year, the kitchen team at Intuit Dome has revamped the menu, leaving behind the salad for fresher, local flavors. With items like a birria stack, seasonal hand pies, and onigiri rice balls, the focus is on speedy service—critical for hungry fans eager to get back to their seats. Having 34 kitchens minimizes wait times and keeps the ingredients fresh.
Jessica Cesta, vice president of the hospitality strategy, emphasizes the importance of quality. “We aren’t serving what you’d typically find at an arena. We want high quality and speed,” she says.
Before the launch, the Clippers dug deep into what fans truly wanted. They discovered the key was to prioritize accessibility along with great taste. Cesta points out, “You won’t need to walk halfway around the arena to find what you want.”
The new menu maintains crowd favorites, like hot dogs made with Niman Ranch beef and custom burger patties, now paired with a rotating special. For the season opener, fans can try a bacon cheeseburger with barbecue sauce and onion rings.
New creations like the birria stack—filled with slow-roasted beef, avocado crema, and pickled onions—allow fans to dine on the go. The mouthwatering GZ cookie, based on a family recipe, delivers a cozy chocolate chunk treat.
Social media is buzzing about these new offerings. Fans are sharing their favorites on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, showing that food at sports events can be exciting and vibrant, much like the game itself.
“There’s room to experiment,” Cesta notes. The seasonal hand pies, both savory and sweet, promise to keep things interesting—think turkey pot pie during Thanksgiving. If something doesn’t resonate, it might get cut, much like the salad last year.
In an industry constantly evolving, the Intuit Dome aims to stay ahead by listening to feedback and keeping things fresh. Cesta explains, “We’ve learned a lot and are excited to keep pushing the boundaries.”
