Inspira Technologies’ New Modular Blood Oxygenation System

This week, Inspira Technologies OXY B.H.N. Ltd. (NASDAQ:IINN) rolled out an innovative modular setup for its VORTX blood oxygenation technology.

According to the company’s website, VORTX aims to boost oxygen levels in small amounts of blood while also eliminating carbon dioxide. The goal? To get blood saturation levels to 95% or higher.

This system is unique because it avoids fiber membranes, which can harm blood cells due to turbulence and friction. Instead, the VORTX promotes a more natural blood flow, aiming to minimize damage and reduce clotting risks.

The new modular design enhances the INSPIRA Augmented Respiration Technology (ART), which focuses on improving blood oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal. This is especially significant as it aims to disrupt the $19 billion mechanical ventilation industry, helping patients stay stable while awake and without using a ventilator.

Inspira holds thirty-two patents for this cutting-edge technology, highlighting its uniqueness and potential impact on healthcare.

In September, Inspira also gained a U.S. Patent for its orbiting blood oxygenation delivery system, further establishing its innovative edge in medical technology.

This advancement is crucial, as around 20 million ICU patients with respiratory failure each year could greatly benefit from improved oxygenation solutions.

In response to the recent outbreak of the human metapneumovirus (hMPV) in China, Inspira is preparing to ramp up production of its INSPIRA ART100 device to meet increased demand.

Price Update: As of the latest check, IINN stock saw a decline of 1.89%, trading at $1.04.
