Unfortunately, over the years, many locations vanished, leaving just three: two in Laurel, Mississippi, and one in Houma, Louisiana. The good news? One of the Laurel spots opened in summer 2025, marking a new chapter for this beloved chain.

Founded by the McKinney family, Corn Dog 7 stays true to its roots. Betty McKinney, one of the original founders, celebrated the opening of the new location with her family. The name “Corn Dog 7” comes from the seven McKinney family members involved in starting the chain.
