Discover the Latest Laramie County Health and Food Inspection Results (Feb 17-23, 2025): What You Need to Know!

The Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department plays a key role in keeping our food establishments safe. They inspect various places, including restaurants, bars, and grocery stores, at least twice a year without prior notice.

During these inspections, the department looks for two main types of violations. The first is “red critical violations,” which can lead to foodborne illnesses. The second is “black violations,” which are usually about cleanliness and facility upkeep.

Critical violations need immediate attention. The staff is encouraged to fix these issues right away or within 24 hours. Non-critical violations still require corrections, but a follow-up is often scheduled for the next routine check.

If a place has serious problems, the health department may conduct a reinspection. Facilities typically have 10 days to resolve these issues.

The goal of the inspections is not just to find faults. The health department aims to educate business owners about safe practices to maintain a healthy environment for customers and staff.

You can find the complete inspection reports for each location on the health department’s website. This includes details about any serious violations.
