Art festivals can be a bit daunting for newcomers. Picture beautiful artworks covering every wall, intriguing sculptures everywhere, and talented artists showcasing their years of hard work. But don’t worry! This year’s India Art Fair stands out with 120 exhibitors, including 78 galleries from across the globe. It is the biggest and most ambitious fair yet. And guess what? Two iconic names, Amitabh Bachchan and James Bond, add a unique twist to the event.
Masha Art features a booth titled “Bond to Bachchan,” merging cinema, art, and technology seamlessly. Jenny Bhatt, an artist showcasing her work here, combines traditional art methods with cutting-edge tools like Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and AI-generated pieces.
Her installation is an immersive experience. It includes 12 AR-activated paintings and 15 animated displays, celebrating the captivating nature of cinema and storytelling. Jenny describes her style as pop-surrealism, aiming to connect with the audience. “I believe pop art is for everyone. My work highlights everyday life, especially how media and cinema influence us,” she says.
Her exhibition focuses on celebrated icons from the 70s, especially Bachchan and Bond. By using modern technology, Jenny ensures that her artwork is engaging. She believes that art should be interactive, allowing visitors to feel like co-creators.
Jenny wants her art to be fun and accessible. She explains that technology has always played a role in the evolution of art. For instance, Impressionism came about after the invention of the camera, and Surrealism was influenced by Freudian theories. Now, digital art is changing the game again.
Samarth Mathur, the Founder and Managing Director of Masha Art, shared his enthusiasm for the fair. He sees it as a significant step in integrating interactive digital installations. “This fair offers a sneak peek into what we plan to showcase next,” he said. Masha Art is ready to challenge the boundaries of creativity with their innovative approach.
