Get ready for a night of music and celebration at brewLAB in Carpinteria! Food for the Wyrm (previously known as Beau James Wilding) is launching their new vinyl album, “A Wicked Huntsman,” on May 23. The release party promises an exciting lineup of entertainment.
The festivities kick off at 4 PM. DJ Damohotep will spin some tracks to warm up the crowd before the live performances begin. Food for the Wyrm will be joined by Ventura County’s own ARDI, known for his thrill-inducing shows reminiscent of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Wren Hunt, a folk-punk project led by local icon Michael Kresky, will open the evening.
The album features traditional Irish ballads reimagined with a darker, atmospheric touch. It was recorded in Rathfriland, Ireland, during the band’s tour in 2024 and fine-tuned in Ventura. The artwork, designed by Beau and brought to life by Norwegian artist Zein Hestnaes, portrays a powerful female figure amid flowers that symbolize each track on the album.
As part of the event, there will be a pop-up BBQ stand and $1 off all beer pints in celebration of brewLAB’s Summer Kickoff. brewLAB is known for blending tradition with innovation in their brewing process.
This event not only celebrates music—it highlights the communal spirit of local artistry. It’s a chance to connect with friends, enjoy great food and music, and support local talent. Join us for this memorable evening!
