Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center (JPAFHC) has exciting news! Their on-site pharmacy has moved to a new space in Room #159, right next to the Lab. This change is all about making it easier for patients to get their medications and access services.
The pharmacy still offers the same range of services with the same friendly staff. It’s open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. One of the biggest advantages? The pharmacy is part of the 340B Drug Pricing Program. This federal initiative helps health centers like JPAFHC purchase medications at reduced prices. These savings go directly back into patient care, allowing them to:
- Provide lower-cost medications to qualifying patients
- Support important community health programs
- Improve access to necessary medications for everyone
- Help patients stick to their treatment plans and improve their health
According to recent statistics, health outcomes can significantly improve with better medication access. A study from the Health Resources and Services Administration showed that patients using 340B resources often have better medication adherence, leading to lower hospitalization rates. This means that JPAFHC is not just relocating; they are enhancing community health.
Renee Hastick-Motes, CEO of JPAFHC, emphasizes their dedication: “We want to make the patient experience seamless. Moving our pharmacy allows easier access to vital medications and support.”
Wyndy Webb, Chief Pharmacy Officer, adds, “Our aim has always been to provide high-quality and affordable care. This new setup allows us to expand services and offer patients a better space.”
This pharmacy relocation, along with the resources from the 340B program, ensures that JPAFHC continues to be a valuable healthcare provider for the community.
You can find JPAFHC at 6200 Beach Channel Drive. For any medication queries, call the pharmacy at (718) 945-7150 or visit addabbo.org.
