The Montclair Art Museum (MAM) is set to kick off its first-ever Food Truck Festival & Cocktail Crawl on June 8, from 12–6 p.m. This event promises a lively atmosphere where art meets local flavors and drinks.
“This isn’t just a food truck festival,” says Alex Pavljuk, MAM’s Digital Content Strategist. “It’s a chance to see the Museum in a fresh way—through food, art, and fun.”
Expect to find twelve food trucks serving an exciting range of dishes. From savory barbecue to sweet donuts, there’s something for everyone:
- Antojitos De Mi Tierra (Colombian)
- Baltimore North (Baltimore-Style Barbecue)
- Bhimas (Indian)
- Chava’s Empanadas (Colombian)
- DonutNV Northeast NJ (Specialty Donuts)
- House of Cupcakes (Specialty Cupcakes)
- Ms. Fu’s Yummy Food Truck (Asian)
- Peruvian Family Food Truck (Peruvian)
- RainBao Food Truck (Asian/Southern Comfort Food)
- The Mexi-Boys (Mexican)
- Tommy Scoops (Ice Cream)
- Urban Burger (American)
Don’t forget the Cocktail Crawl! Three local bars will feature a special cocktail just for the festival. Beer will also be on the menu.
Guests can dive into much more than just food and drinks. Enjoy art activities, play lawn games, and explore the Museum galleries free of charge.
Tickets are affordable: $5 for individuals and $20 for families ahead of time. Prices increase on the day of the event to $10 per person and $25 per family. Kids under 5 can join for free. MAM members will receive a complimentary drink ticket as a thank you.
This festival is not just about food; it’s a celebration of the community. Recent trends show that such events can boost local business and encourage social interaction, vital for small towns. According to a 2021 report, food entrepreneurs see a 20% increase in revenue during local festivals. Events like this not only bring people together but also support artists and local vendors.
