Due to their popularity, this year, the stand for these tasty tenders has expanded at The Coop Chicken on the second floor of the Clubhouse. Diners can choose between classic, barbecue, Buffalo, or Nashville-style options, all paired perfectly with French fries. “They are easily our top seller year-round,” Lopez adds.
Despite the spotlight on chicken, there’s a feast to enjoy during Derby weekend. Numbers show that crowds will munch on approximately 142,000 hot dogs, 18,000 barbecue sandwiches, and even 32,400 jumbo shrimp. It’s clear that food plays a crucial role in the Derby experience.
