Discover Thrive City’s Exciting New Sports Bar Featuring a Giant TV Screen for Ultimate Game Day Experiences!

Exciting news, Bay Area sports fans: San Francisco welcomes its largest sports bar, Splash at Thrive City, opening on Friday, February 7. Located near the Chase Center, this massive 30,000-square-foot space features two levels and both indoor and outdoor seating. With over 75 TVs and an incredible 840-square-foot LED screen, it’s set to be a year-round destination for sports enthusiasts.

The highlight is definitely the enormous screen, perfect for major events like March Madness. This flexible display can show anywhere from three to twelve games simultaneously. Plus, there’s a video ticker at the bottom that updates live sports scores and breaking news. You can catch all the action from different seating options, including cozy booths and bar-height tables on the main floor or relax in a plush lounge upstairs.

The team behind Pacific Cocktail Haven and other popular spots designed Splash after visiting sports bars across major U.S. cities. They noted the importance of incorporating cutting-edge technology in creating an unforgettable experience. Co-founder Jan Wiginton said they aimed to build a space that would surprise visitors, something the Bay Area has been lacking.

For entertainment, there’s a game room featuring foosball, pool, basketball arcade games, and two golf swing simulators with various sports-themed games. It’s about blending watching sports and playing, providing more reasons for people to visit.

On the food front, they’re stepping up the game. Expect typical sports bar fare like nachos and wings, but with creative twists. Their version of nachos is fully loaded with gourmet toppings, and you can opt for extras like grilled chicken or short ribs. They’re even including salads, sushi rolls, tacos, and main courses like grilled salmon, elevating the standard sports bar menu.

When it comes to drinks, award-winning mixologist Kevin Diedrich is creating an impressive cocktail menu. He noticed that many sports bars lack a thoughtful drink selection, often defaulting to beer and shots. At Splash, expect refreshing cocktails designed to complement the lively atmosphere. The Hot Lips, for instance, is a spicy margarita with a twist, featuring jalapeños and citrus.

Additionally, there’s a rotating selection of beers on tap and in bottles, showcasing local brews alongside classic staples. Wines and nonalcoholic options will also be available to cater to all guests.

The venue promotes a vibrant social scene with its outdoor space and planned entertainment zones, making it a prime spot for gatherings before or after Warriors games and more. Wiginton emphasizes their goal: “This is a giant space. Let’s give a reason for people to come here, not only for sports, but for any other social aspect they want to fulfill.”

Splash at Thrive City opens February 7, with hours from 11 AM to 11 PM through February 11 and special reservations for the Super Bowl. Starting February 12, it will be available for private events and public activations leading up to NBA All-Star Weekend.
