On January 15, Irving Friedman, a heroic World War II and Korean War veteran, was laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery. He was 99 years old. At the ceremony, Deputy Consul General Na Sang-deok from the Republic of Korea presented an Ambassador for Peace Medal and certificates to Irving’s son, Howard. This moment honored a life dedicated to service.
