Apple just released an updated beta version of iOS 26.5 for developers. If you have the beta installed on your iPhone, you can update today. This new build, version 23F5043k, comes just days after the first beta version 23F5043g was made available.
What prompted this quick update? Usually, it’s to fix unexpected bugs or potential security issues. Early tests haven’t shown any major problems, but Apple likes to address things quickly to keep users safe.
To find the new beta, go to your iPhone’s Settings, select General, and then tap Software Update. It’s that simple!
The initial release of iOS 26.5 introduced some interesting features. Users can now enjoy a ‘Suggested Places’ option in Apple Maps and RCS end-to-end encrypted messaging, among other updates.
Interestingly, a recent survey indicates that more users are becoming aware of security features like RCS. According to a report from Statista, awareness of end-to-end encryption in messaging apps has tripled in the last two years. This shows that users are increasingly valuing privacy in their communications.
