Apple has rolled out public beta 2 for iOS 18.4, packed with new features for those in the public beta program. Let’s dive into what’s new.

What’s New in iOS 18.4 Beta 2
The first beta had plenty of features, but this one adds even more. Here’s a quick look at the updates:
- Visual Intelligence is better: Users of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16e can now access Visual Intelligence easily, no Camera Control needed.
- New emoji: Seven new emoji are here, including a tired face that could become a favorite.
- Apple Vision Pro app: A dedicated app now lets users explore spatial content, similar to the existing Watch app.
- Shortcuts app upgrades: New actions hint at upcoming enhancements for Siri.
- Control Center updates: Beta 2 introduces controls for Visual Intelligence and using Siri.
- Custom Priority Notifications: Choose which apps can send you important notifications with our new AI feature.
- EV routing in Maps: Expect improved support for finding EV chargers soon.
- And more minor tweaks!
This beta 2 update strengthens iOS 18.4’s features, making it quite exciting.
How to Install iOS 18.4 and Launch Date
If you’ve already installed the previous iOS 18.4 beta, updating is simple. Just head to Settings ⇾ General ⇾ Software Update on your iPhone, and beta 2 will show up there.
New to the public beta program? You’ll need to sign up first.
If beta testing isn’t your thing, don’t worry. The public version of iOS 18.4 is expected in early April, so these features will be available to everyone soon.
