Fresno State’s University Theatre is kicking off its 2025-26 mainstage season with an exciting lineup of plays and musicals. This season promises a great blend of classics and fresh perspectives, designed to entertain and inspire.

The Lineup

October 3-11: “A Raisin in the Sun”
This powerful play by Lorraine Hansberry tells the story of the Younger family in Chicago. Each family member dreams of a better life, yet they face challenges tied to their identities and societal expectations. The play captures their struggles with dignity and hope.

November 14-22: “Godspell”

February 13-21: “Contemporary Dance Ensemble”

Written by Tanya Saracho, this timely play focuses on Lucia, a Mexican-American writer, navigating her new job in a predominantly white TV industry. It explores themes of race and culture while emphasizing the importance of storytelling.

May 1-9: “Twelfth Night”
Shakespeare’s classic comedy brings romance and mistaken identities to the stage. After being shipwrecked, Viola disguises herself as a man, leading to a series of humorous and heartfelt events.
