Discover Whole Foods’ Exciting New Podcast: Meet Their First Celebrity Guest!

The world of food podcasts is booming, offering something for every foodie. If baking is your thing, check out Gemma Stafford’s podcast, Knead to Know. For those curious about food science and history, Gastropod is a deep dive into topics like beer’s past and the truth about canola oil. One of my favorites is Tinfoil Swans, where host Kat Kinsman chats with top chefs and food influencers.

Recently, Whole Foods launched a new podcast, Beyond the Board. It debuted on May 1 and promises to explore how food travels from farms to our tables. Each episode features a leader from Whole Foods in conversation with influential guests, including food brand founders and policy experts.

The first episode features Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, known as the son of soccer star David Beckham and designer Victoria Beckham. Brooklyn recently founded his hot sauce brand, Cloud23, which is exclusively sold at Whole Foods. The bottles are visually appealing, and it’s exciting to see how they’re integrated into this new podcast.

In his discussion with Whole Foods CEO Jason Buechel, Brooklyn shares that his idea for the hot sauce came from a late-night conversation with his wife. He currently offers two flavors: Hot Habanero and Sweet Jalapeño, with hints of more products to come.

Brooklyn also loves cooking, especially his spaghetti Bolognese, a recipe he’s adapted from his dad. It’s a fun process for him, taking about five to six hours. Interestingly, he once went viral when he shared a photo of his sauce simmering with a wine cork—a technique some chefs swear by for tender meat.

In each episode, listeners can expect tips and stories, with two new episodes every month. The second episode, airing on May 15, will feature Caulipower, a brand known for its cauliflower crust pizzas.

For fans of Whole Foods, this podcast is a great way to learn more about favorite products and the stories behind them. To listen to the first episode of Beyond the Board, you can find it here.

This podcasting trend highlights how food connects us, from farmers to chefs to everyday cooks. It’s a rich tapestry worth exploring—each episode offers not just recipes but also insights into the food industry, making it a must-listen for anyone who loves to eat or cook.
