WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University’s men’s basketball team has been picked to finish fifth in the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) preseason coaches’ poll. They secured 34 points, while Mount Union leads with 64. Marietta, Muskingum, and Otterbein follow closely behind with 53, 47, and 44 points respectively, placing BW in the middle of the pack among nine teams.
Head coach Tom Heil enters his 11th season, looking to guide the Yellow Jackets to a turnaround. The team returns four Academic All-OAC members and one All-OAC second team player. Last season, they finished 10-15 overall and 6-12 in the conference. Now, they are motivated to achieve their first winning season since 2021-22, when they ended with a 15-10 record and a 9-7 conference mark.
The team kicks off the 2025-26 season on November 7 with an away game against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, starting at 7 p.m. Their first home game is on November 10 against Washington & Jefferson College, also at 7 p.m. They’ll have just two home games in November, with their next match against Hiram College just before Thanksgiving on November 25.
