On another note, Robert’s Western World, a cherished spot on Lower Broadway, is about to get an upgrade. The bar’s owners proudly call it “the last real honky tonk” in downtown Nashville. They emphasize that it’s family-owned, steering clear of the celebrity-owned trend sweeping through the area.

As Nashville’s Lower Broadway attracts more businesses, Robert’s is standing its ground, maintaining its unique charm. They are planning to expand the second floor, adding another performance stage and a new entrance. This will increase capacity while preserving the bar’s historic vibe.

Known for its affordable food and live traditional country music, Robert’s offers a down-to-earth experience that stands out from many other bars in the area, which have shifted towards pop music and club-like atmospheres.

The expansion also includes adding a third floor for a kitchen, storage, and office space, along with a private terrace for the owner. Interestingly, the owners have made it clear that they will never add a rooftop bar, keeping their focus on maintaining the bar’s integrity.
