Discover Why This New Jersey Theme Park is Selling Animatronic Dinosaurs on Facebook Marketplace!

Have you ever dreamed of owning a giant dinosaur for your yard? Here’s your chance! Field Station: Dinosaurs in New Jersey is closing on November 9, and they’re selling all their life-sized dinosaurs on Facebook Marketplace. Prices range from $500 to nearly $3,000.

Some dinosaurs include a 52-foot Spinosaurus for $2,900, a Hadrosaurus with eggs for $2,450, and a vivid blue Parasaurolophus for $2,410. Many come with limited movement and voice boxes. It’s a unique opportunity for those with some space.

“Where do 30-plus dinosaurs go when their park closes?” asked Guy Gsell, the park’s executive producer. He hopes they find good homes, adding, “Just be sure you’ve got a big backyard.”

Field Station: Dinosaurs opened in 2012 but relocated after closing in 2015 to make room for a new high school. Despite efforts to boost its profile, including a feature on the reality show The Fixer, the park is shutting down.

Interested buyers should note that they will handle the removal and transportation costs. The park will assist with any equipment needed. Dinosaurs can be picked up after November 9.

Before the park closes, visitors can enjoy the “Jurassic Petting Zoo” on September 27 and 28 for a hands-on experience with the dinosaurs. There’s also a special evening event, “Dinosaurs After Dark,” happening weekends from October 3 to 25. According to the park’s website, this event includes a lantern-lit tour, games, and a thrilling puppet show.

This unusual sale has sparked excitement on social media, with many sharing jokes about backyard dinosaur parties. As the sale date approaches, it’s likely that more dinosaur-themed memes and posts will pop up online.

The closing of this attraction is a reminder of the ever-changing landscape of entertainment, especially as people seek more unique experiences. It’s also a chance for nostalgia—many families have enjoyed memorable outings at this park.
