BELLINGHAM, WA – April showers have led to some vibrant May flowers here in Whatcom County. With Mother’s Day just around the corner on Sunday, May 10, there’s plenty to do to celebrate the special day.
This Friday, May 8, join the Spring Wine Walk from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. You’ll wander through downtown Bellingham, tasting wines from 23 local businesses. If you find a favorite, you can purchase a bottle to enjoy at home. The event will also feature a DJ After Party at Central Pier, right near the Granary Building along the waterfront.
If your mom loves gardening, consider heading to Hovander Park in Ferndale on Saturday, May 9. The Hovander Plant Sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a wide selection of plants, trees, and gardening tools. This is the Master Gardener Foundation’s big annual sale, perfect for moms with green thumbs!
For a unique treat, Willowbrook Manor in Sedro-Woolley is hosting a special Mother’s Tea on Friday and Saturday. Enjoy a delightful spread of teas, sandwiches, and desserts in one of Skagit County’s most scenic locations.
