Dive Into Action: Explore NAU Swimming & Diving’s Exciting 2025-26 Season Schedule!

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Sept. 16, 2025) – The Northern Arizona University swimming and diving team is all set for the 2025-26 season. The schedule includes home meets, high-level invitationals, and both conference and national championships.

“We’re ready to dive into the season. We’ve got a mix of home and away competitions, with some strong opponents,” said head coach Andy Johns. He believes that competing against teams from the Big 12 and Mountain West will challenge his young squad and prepare them for the critical MPSF meet at the season’s end.

The season kicks off at home on September 19 with the annual pentathlon, where senior Gracie Munk will be a standout. She won this event last year with a stellar score of 3,840 points.

The team will host its intrasquad meet, Blue vs. Gold, on October 3. Under the guidance of coaches Andy Johns and Nikki Kelsey, the Lumberjacks will face off against top competitors, starting with an All-Arizona meet in Tucson on October 10.

As the fall progresses, the team will hit the road for meets against Idaho and Washington State on November 1, then return home to host New Mexico State on November 7. They will wrap up the fall season with the Colorado Mesa Invite from November 19-22, alongside the Lumberjack Diving Invite.

In January, the action continues with a home dual against Colorado State on the 5th. Divers will take part in the UCLA Diving Invite from January 8-10, while swimmers will return to Tucson on January 9. The team also has scheduled matches against New Mexico and Utah Tech later in the month.

As the spring approaches, the Lumberjack Diving Invite is set for January 29-31 in Flagstaff. The championship season starts with the MPSF Conference Championships in Pharr, Texas, from February 25-28. This year marks Northern Arizona’s debut in this conference after 12 consecutive years as champions of the Western Athletic Conference.

Last year, the ‘Jacks dominated the WAC Championships, finishing significantly ahead of their nearest competitor. They collected a total of 694.5 points, showcasing their strength in the pool.

In addition to conference meets, NAU will host the NCAA Zone Diving from March 9-11, setting the stage for those qualifying to compete at the NCAA Swimming & Diving National Championship in Atlanta from March 18-21. Notably, Victoria Knapp represented the team last year in the NCAA 1-meter event.
