On a brighter note, running back David Montgomery of the Detroit Lions is back in action. He fully practiced this week and is set to play against the Washington Commanders. Montgomery suffered an MCL injury in Week 15, raising fears that his season might be over. Instead of opting for surgery, he chose to rehabilitate his knee, and it paid off.
“It’s refreshing to be back in a position to help the team,” Montgomery expressed. He feels confident his knee is fully recovered and wouldn’t be participating if he wasn’t ready. He had an impressive season, rushing for 775 yards and scoring 12 touchdowns while teaming up with Jahmyr Gibbs.
