Dolly Parton Delays Las Vegas Residency: What You Need to Know About Her Health Challenges

Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her Las Vegas residency due to some health challenges. She shared that she needs to undergo a few medical procedures, prompting her to move her six-night engagement, originally set for December, to September 2026.

In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Parton reassured fans about her decision, acknowledging that while she loves performing, her health must come first. She humorously referred to her situation as needing a “100,000-mile check-up,” stressing her commitment to delivering the best show possible. “You pay to see me perform, and I want to be at my best,” she said.

While some might worry about her future in music, Parton emphasized that this isn’t the end for her. She stated, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business… I believe I need to slow down right now for more adventures with all of you.”

Fans who already bought tickets will be able to use them for the new dates or request refunds if needed.

Parton’s Las Vegas shows were highly anticipated, marking her return to the city after more than 30 years. Initially announced in June 2025, the concert series was described as a “hit-driven event,” showcasing her timeless hits.

In addition to her music, Parton is working on a musical titled Dolly: An Original Musical, set to premiere on Broadway in 2026 after summer previews in Nashville. She’s also receiving the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences at their 2025 Governors Awards on November 16.
