James Madison men’s soccer faced Liberty on Saturday night, ending in a scoreless draw at Osborne Stadium. This result halted JMU’s four-game losing streak, bringing their record to 0-4-1, while Liberty remains undefeated at 4-0-2.
Manuel Lolas led the JMU offense, taking three shots. Goalkeeper Erik Jaspers made his entrance for the 2025 season and secured a shutout with three saves.
Head Coach Paul Zazenski praised the team’s defensive effort. “I’m proud of how we defended and kept the game scoreless. We hit the post and had more chances, but that’s soccer. The players fought hard, which was great to see,” he said.
