CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte 49ers women’s tennis team put on a strong performance on Sunday, defeating Tulane with a score of 4-0 at their home court.

Charlotte started strong by winning the doubles point. They secured victories with scores of 6-3 in the No. 1 match and 6-0 in the No. 3 match.

In singles, Tulane’s Campbell Ricci and Jiayun Zhu each made commendable efforts, winning sets at the No. 1 and No. 4 positions, respectively. However, Charlotte clinched wins in the No. 3, No. 5, and No. 6 singles matches, sealing the match without losing any points.

With this loss, the Green Wave’s record stands at 6-5. They will look to bounce back when they host the UNO team next Monday, March 10, at 2 p.m. CT at the City Park Tennis Facility.
