The president-elect is also expected to declare a national energy emergency. This move could lead to increased production of natural resources, aiming to create jobs and strengthen national security.
Trump’s focus will likely include undoing many directives from the Biden administration, which aimed to promote green jobs and regulate the fossil fuel industry while reducing pollution.
Lastly, he plans to withdraw the U.S. from the 2015 Paris Agreement, a move he previously made during his first term before the U.S. rejoined under Biden.
Another contentious plan includes reinstating a ban on federal funding for international organizations that provide abortion counseling. This could cut millions of dollars from groups that offer abortion services or referrals.
