What’s Happened So Far?

The series kicks off with Daesan Group under scrutiny for a controversial energy project. The company faces accusations of mismanagement and corruption, with missing government funds in the billions. Seo Dong-ju takes drastic measures—bribing Assembly members to protect his company.

As the story unfolds, we see Dong-ju’s personal life. He is engaged to Yeo Eun-nam, but by the end of the first episode, a shocking twist reveals that Eun-nam is the granddaughter of Cha Kang-cheon and heir to the Daesan Group. Their relationship takes a dark turn when she marries Yeom Hui-cheol.

In the second episode, heartbroken, Dong-ju confronts Eun-nam, questioning her fidelity. Meanwhile, he learns about shifting dynamics at work that could threaten his position. Tensions rise when he discovers a dead body linked to a rival, indicating he is in danger as someone plots against him.
