Kaci Walfall and Emily Carey to Star in Before This New Year Off-Broadway Premiere

This spring, Liana Sonenclar’s new play Before This New Year will make its world premiere Off-Broadway at The Duke on 42nd Street. It features a talented cast, including Kaci Walfall and Emily Carey.

Under the direction of Obie Award winner Knud Adams, the story centers on Alison Bennett, a high school track star. After her first college semester, she returns home for the holidays and reconnects with an old teammate, Haley. This reunion forces Alison to face unresolved feelings and major choices in her life.

The play opens on March 19, with the official opening night set for April 4. Kaci Walfall will portray Alison, while Emily Carey will play Haley. This production promises strong performances from both actors.

The creative team includes scenic designer Afsoon Pajoufar, costume designer Avery Reed, and lighting designer Reza Behjat. The casting process is overseen by Anne Davison and John Ort.

More cast members and creative details will be announced soon. The show is scheduled to run through May 11. Jonathan Demar is the producer, and Mott/Fischer Productions is handling general management.
