The couple decided to retire their food truck, stating, “Now feels like the right time to take a step back, slow down, and enjoy life in a new way.” They took inspiration from their childhood and crafted a menu filled with comforting classics like mac & cheese, pulled pork, and meatloaf. Their dedication earned them a 100% recommendation rate from satisfied customers.
Founded in September 2018, Comfort Food 154 began its journey with a truck that previously belonged to Phat Daddy’s. The name pays homage to Scott’s childhood home in Cedar Rapids, highlighting the personal touch they brought to their offerings.
