Ruby’s Pantry is hosting a mobile food distribution on Wednesday, December 17, starting at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Sanford Center, located at 1111 Event Center Drive NE in Bemidji.
At this distribution, you can drive up and receive a grocery bundle for a $25 cash donation. If you can, please bring exact change, and you can buy as many bundles as you’d like. There are no income or residency requirements to receive food, and boxes will be provided for everyone.
If you wish to pre-pay for your grocery shares, you can do so through rubyspantry.org. You’ll need to choose a time slot for pickup. Just a heads up: the pre-payment deadline is 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16.
Ruby’s Pantry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering affordable groceries to all. If you want to help, consider volunteering at the food distribution. More details on volunteering are available at rubyspantry.org.
Community food programs, like Ruby’s Pantry, have become increasingly important. According to a recent report from Feeding America, around one in eight people in the U.S. struggles with hunger. Events like these play a vital role in ensuring that everyone has access to the food they need, regardless of their financial situation.
