Don’t Miss Out: Upcoming Pet Adoption Events to Find Your Perfect Furry Friend!

Grand Companions is planning some exciting pet adoption events in Midland and Odessa. If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family, mark these dates on your calendar!

On Saturday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can visit Kendra Scott at 2900 W Loop 250 in Midland. They will have adoptable pets on-site. Plus, if you shop in-store or online that day, Kendra Scott will donate 20% of proceeds to Grand Companions!

Then, on Sunday, April 20, come out to Petco at 6209 TX-191 in Odessa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grand Companions will bring adorable animals looking for their forever homes. It’s a great chance to meet potential pets or just enjoy some furry cuddles.

Don’t miss the Midland Downtown Farmers Market on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to noon at 404 N Colorado St. Along with local vendors, you’ll find more adoptable pets from Grand Companions.

Finally, on Thursday, May 1, join the Hike with a Homeless Pet event at Sibley Nature Center, 1307 E Wadley Ave., Midland, from 9 to 10 a.m. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors while helping a homeless pet get some exercise.

For 35 years, Grand Companions has been a lifeline for homeless pets in West Texas. Their mission is simple: to save and shelter pets while finding them loving homes. With resources in both Fort Davis and Midland, they have matched countless families with their perfect pets.

If you’re interested in the pet adoption trend, you’re not alone. Recent studies show that many people turned to pet adoption during the pandemic for companionship. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), there was a significant increase in animal adoptions in 2020, with shelters reporting that adoptions rose by nearly 40% compared to previous years. As communities continue to bounce back, events like those from Grand Companions offer a wonderful opportunity to find a new furry family member while supporting an important cause.

Join the conversation on social media, where many pet lovers share stories and photos of their adopted companions. This growing movement highlights not only the joy of pet ownership but also the impact of responsible adoptions.
