It’s game day, and Philadelphia sports fans are buzzing with excitement. The 76ers are headed to Milwaukee to face off against the Bucks this Sunday afternoon. You didn’t think I was talking about anything else, did you?
This matchup has a twist: Milwaukee will be missing one of its stars. Giannis Antetokounmpo is out with a left calf strain. Other Bucks players, like Pat Connaughton and Liam Robbins, are also unsure for the game.
The Sixers have their own injury concerns. Joel Embiid is questionable due to knee management. Guerschon Yabusele is likely to play after dealing with some knee soreness, while Paul George is ready to go after recovering from a finger injury.
Last Friday, the Sixers faced the Pistons, and it was their worst performance of the season. They were down 78-49 by halftime and never bounced back. The Pistons didn’t even have their best player, Cade Cunningham, available that night. If the Sixers show up with that same energy, they could be in for another tough game, even without Giannis playing. The Bucks still have talented players, like Damian Lillard and Taurean Prince, who could exploit any mistakes the Sixers make.
The Bucks are also struggling, having lost six of their last eight games. They recently traded away veteran Khris Middleton for Kyle Kuzma, a move that stirred mixed feelings among fans. Kuzma had a decent but not remarkable debut, scoring 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds against the Pistons.
The game will tip off at 2 p.m. ET. If you’re looking for a distraction until later in the day, this could be it.
Go Birds!
