Don’t Miss the Excitement: Banana Ball Makes Its Debut at Memorial Stadium!

One of the most exciting events coming to Memorial Stadium is the Savannah Bananas’ visit on June 13, 2026. This game is part of their 2026 Banana Ball World Tour, featuring over 70 stops. The first pitch is set for 7 p.m., with the Bananas going head-to-head against the Firefighters. This will be one of two games in Lincoln, the other taking place at Haymarket Park on June 11.

Troy Dannen, Nebraska’s Athletic Director, expressed enthusiasm about hosting the Bananas. He believes it’s a great opportunity for families to come together for summer fun in Lincoln.

Banana Ball is well-known for its fast-paced, entertaining gameplay. With unique rules—like fans catching foul balls counting as outs—it creates a thrilling experience for everyone. Most of the Bananas players are former minor league or college players. In 2025, they played in front of sold-out crowds in over 50 cities, including an impressive 81,000 fans at Clemson’s Memorial Stadium.

Memorial Stadium has recently hosted large crowds for other events too. In August 2021, nearly 90,000 attended a Garth Brooks concert, and in 2023, 92,003 fans set a record for the largest attendance at a women’s sporting event during Volleyball Day in Nebraska.

Tickets for the games will be available through the Savannah Bananas organization. Fans can join a Ticket Lottery List by signing up at their website by October 31, 2025.
