The Scranton Brass Orchestra is set to host a lively concert on Sunday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Houlihan-McLean Center at The University of Scranton. Best of all, it’s free for everyone! Doors will open at 6:50 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served.
This concert promises a mix of fun tunes, featuring everything from classic pop hits to beloved Disney songs and memorable film themes. You’ll hear exciting pieces like Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances and Turrin’s Overture for Brass.
Cheryl Y. Boga leads the orchestra, which includes 26 talented players from the region. Co-founded by Dr. Hal Baillie and Mark Gould, the orchestra now enters its 14th season. Since its debut in June 2011, the group has gained a loyal following, often attracting respected guest musicians from around the world.
