Drew Rasmussen Joins Ranks of Oregon State’s Stellar All-Stars: A Historic Season for Beavers Athletics!

Drew Rasmussen Joins All-Star Roster

Drew Rasmussen, a former pitcher for Oregon State, is set to make his All-Star Game debut. The Tampa Bay Rays player will represent the American League at the game in Atlanta this Tuesday.

This season, Rasmussen boasts an impressive record of 7-5 with a 2.82 earned run average (ERA) across 18 starts. He has struck out 76 batters in 89 innings, showcasing his talent and hard work on the mound.

Coming from Puyallup, Washington, Rasmussen is now one of three players from Oregon State selected for this year’s All-Star Game, further highlighting the program’s strength. He joins Matthew Boyd from the Chicago Cubs and Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians.

Rasmussen’s baseball journey began at Oregon State, where he played from 2015 to 2017. Over 33 games, he recorded a solid 14-5 record and a 2.65 ERA, including a memorable perfect game against Washington State in his freshman year.

Interestingly, Oregon State has a rich history in the MLB, with several players transitioning to professional careers. This success may be tied to their rigorous training programs and strong support from coaching staff, contributing to a thriving baseball culture.

With the All-Star Game airing live on FOX at 5 p.m. PT this Tuesday, baseball fans will be eager to see how Rasmussen performs on this big stage.
