Andaman & Nicobar Destruction Of Drugs: Andaman and Nicobar Police has began destroying medicine worth Rs 36,000 crore seized in the greatest seizure ever in India. This operation is being finished underneath the supervision of DGP HS Dhaliwal.

What did the DGP say?
HS Dhaliwal stated, “Andaman and Nicobar Police has started destroying more than 6000 kg of narcotics, India’s biggest seizure. Due to the large quantity, it is being burnt in furnaces. We are in touch with the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Home Ministry. as well as with the cooperation of local authorities, such a large quantity can be destroyed in record time. Biggest drug bust in India

arrest of suspects
Six residents of Myanmar have been arrested in this operation. The names of the arrested persons are Kyan Lin Khaing, Zay Yar Soe, Moe Zar Oo, Htet Myat Aung, Zin Minso, Khin Mg Kyi, all of them are presently in judicial custody and the investigation into the case is ongoing. In this case, on January 3, 2025, the Special Court (NDPS) of Sri Vijayapuram had allowed pre-trial settlement of the seized banned substance. The seized substance was saved in 222 plastic luggage, which have been saved in the central storage room of the CID unit.
