EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team faced Michigan State University on May 12 and ended up losing 5-2 in a hard-fought game.

They hit a solo home run and followed it with two singles, which helped them secure a 3-1 lead. An additional two-run triple in the eighth extended their advantage to 5-1.

In a last push in the ninth, Eastern scored another run when Bruce Jellison hit a single that brought in Crane. Unfortunately, despite loading the bases, the Eagles couldn’t add more runs, ending the game at 5-2.

The loss dropped Eastern’s record to 17-33. Meanwhile, Michigan State improved to 20-30.
