Einstein Bros. Bagels, situated at 310 N University Dr. in Pembroke Pines, Florida, faced four violations during an inspection on January 6, 2025. The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation conducted this check. Although the shop can stay open, a follow-up inspection is needed to fix the highlighted issues.

Out of the four violations, three were considered serious. The shop currently has a solid 4.0-star rating from 290 reviews on Google, but it needs to address these problems promptly.
The violations include:
- Failure to wash hands before handling food
- Cold food temperature control issues
- Lack of proper marking for food kept at room temperature
A significant violation occurred when an employee did not wash their hands before putting on gloves to prepare food. After the inspector pointed this out, the employee washed their hands correctly.
Temperature control was another major concern. Liquid egg whites were found at 72 degrees Fahrenheit, which is way above the safe limit of 41 degrees. The employee stated that the eggs had only been out for about 30 minutes, and they were quickly returned to the cooler, resolving the issue immediately.
Additionally, gourmet bagels with added cheeses and vegetables were discovered without proper time markings, raising questions about how long they had been outside of the safe temperature zone. This particular violation has happened before, leading to an administrative complaint.
Despite these issues, Einstein Bros. Bagels remains a beloved spot known for its great coffee and fresh bagels, served with various cream cheese options. It’s crucial for this location to resolve these issues to ensure customer safety and uphold its good reputation in Broward County.
