He earned the Paschimi Star for the 1971 war, the Samanvya Seva Medal for the 1965 war, and the Sangram Medal, along with the 25th Independence Anniversary Medal in 1972. His family emphasized that the guard of honor reflected his dedicated service and discipline, saying he will always be seen as a mentor and public servant.
