Their boxing training wasn’t exactly rigorous—they mostly boxed for short bursts before taking breaks for lunch. “I lost that fight but gained a life partner,” Kimmel joked, adding that their bond runs deep. He called Carolla one of the funniest people he knows and the “Laverne to my Shirley,” showing their long-standing friendship.
Reflecting on Carolla’s success, Kimmel noted their political differences but emphasized his love for Carolla. “This is a guy who worked his way up from nothing to millionaire status,” he pointed out. Kimmel shared a touching moment, saying Carolla, who was once rejected by Taco Bell, now has his name etched in Hollywood.
Together, they’ve created memorable shows, including “The Man Show” and “Crank Yankers.” Carolla also made a name for himself with his popular podcast, which has millions of downloads weekly.
