Empowering 25,000 Young Leaders: Join the Government’s Climate Worx Initiative!

In a significant move to address urban climate challenges and youth unemployment, the Kenyan government recently welcomed 25,000 young people into the Climate Worx programme. A major part of this initiative is the ongoing revitalization of the Nairobi River corridor, which spans 27 kilometers. Designated a Special Planning Area in March 2025, this corridor is undergoing systematic restoration to reclaim riverbanks and support ecological balance. This continued effort shows that Climate Worx isn’t just a temporary solution; it aims for long-lasting impact.

A recent report indicated that programs like Climate Worx could significantly reduce urban pollution while empowering youth.
