€2,500 has been awarded to two environmental projects in Leitrim as part of a €500,000 funding initiative known as the Climate Actions Work Engagement Fund. This funding will support 96 community groups and organizations across 23 counties, with individual grants ranging from €2,500 to €10,000. Another recipient is the Leitrim Local Environmental Network, which will also receive €2,500. They plan to create an information hub to promote climate action and biodiversity efforts in the area.
