Interpipe and Dnipro Authorities Modernize School Labor Rooms
Interpipe, a Ukrainian industrial company, is working hard to improve technical education in Dnipro. Recently, they partnered with city officials to upgrade two school labor rooms.
These modern classrooms are situated in schools on the left bank of the Dnipro River. They provide a welcoming space where students can engage in hands-on learning.
The company equipped the classrooms with state-of-the-art machines that mirror those used in Interpipe’s production facilities. The equipment includes milling, grinding, and sharpening machines—mini versions of the industrial tools. This setup allows students to explore real-world skills and experience what a future job could be like.
“The first pupils of the new classrooms are already getting a positive and inspiring experience of working with their hands. We hope that positive impressions at labor lessons will turn into a sincere passion for production in the future,” the company shared.
In addition to Interpipe’s contributions, city authorities have diligently renovated both spaces to create a modern learning environment.
“We are grateful to our partners at the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Dnipro City Council for their support in developing technical education with us,” said the company.
Due to the ongoing war, Ukrainian industries are facing challenges, particularly a shortage of skilled workers. Many men have been mobilized, which makes training the next generation of workers even more crucial.
Previously, Interpipe also updated the curriculum at Vocational Technical School No. 2 in Dnipro, equipping it to train future machine operators. The opening of these new labor rooms at Gymnasiums No. 121 and No. 24 is a part of this commitment. Additionally, schools in the area received Fischertechnik programmable construction sets to further enhance learning opportunities.
Interpipe manufactures steel pipes and railway products, exporting to over 50 countries. In 2023 alone, they sold 387,000 tons of pipe products and 95,000 tons of railway goods under the KLW brand.
