Thomasville City Schools’ STEM Teachers Train at Georgia Tech
THOMASVILLE – Educators from Thomasville City Schools recently took part in advanced training at Georgia Tech. This program focused on the latest in technology and curriculum development in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines.
Teachers had the chance to work closely with experts at Georgia Tech. They explored modern teaching methods and toured the university’s advanced manufacturing facility. This training aims to enhance student scholarship opportunities, enable direct learning from Georgia Tech faculty, and boost STEM literacy throughout the district.
“Our teachers acquired valuable tools and strategies that will benefit our students,” said Ashley Palmer, the Coordinator for STEM, CTAE, and Career Development. “This partnership with Georgia Tech is a fantastic opportunity for us.”
Through this initiative, Thomasville City Schools demonstrates its commitment to equipping students for future STEM careers. Engaging with cutting-edge resources opens new doors for students and prepares them for a tech-driven world.
