On December 17, 2025, WWF-Singapore, together with the Temasek Foundation, wrapped up the fourth edition of #WeGotThis. This initiative is all about empowering young leaders in the Asia-Pacific region to tackle climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable finance through engaging digital campaigns.
This year saw over 80 enthusiastic participants from Singapore and neighboring countries like China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. This diverse group highlights the growing recognition of the need for effective sustainability practices. With environmental issues becoming more complex, young leaders need the tools to simplify these challenges for their communities.
The #WeGotThis program equips youth with the skills to create compelling narratives around climate issues. This approach not only informs but also inspires communities to take action. Over its history, the program has reached more than 20 million young people online. In just this year alone, participants launched nearly 70 sustainability campaigns, bridging the gap between digital outreach and real-world impact. Eighteen of these campaigns were recognized in the annual #WeGotThis Awards for excellence in community engagement and storytelling.
A new in-person Immersion Programme was also introduced this year, allowing selected participants to pitch their ideas to sustainability experts and potential collaborators during the At One Impact Week—an opportunity not only to gain feedback but also to potentially enter partnerships that could enhance their work.
Vivek Kumar, CEO of WWF-Singapore, emphasized the importance of youth in driving change. He stated, “Our future leaders are passionate and creative. With the right support, they can mobilize communities and foster hope.” His enthusiasm reflects a broader trend: according to recent surveys, involvement in sustainability initiatives has risen sharply among young people, with many expressing a desire to make a meaningful impact on environmental issues.
Tan Shin Gee from Temasek Foundation highlighted the participants’ commitment to climate action, noting the creativity and community focus of their campaigns. This growing interest among young leaders hints at a promising future for regional sustainability efforts. The established alumni network fosters ongoing collaboration, allowing graduates to continue their outreach and advocacy work beyond the program.
